You may be wondering, "Why so many events?"
What's up with the names?
Dave | Chip | bambam: Yes, it's true. The guy has many names. On Nantucket (and with Sara) he's "Chip" and with his childhood and college friends, he's "Dave". That doesn't even touch his THIRD name, "bambam "(which Sara also uses), that came from a bus trip (with many of the Avalon crew) to his first Solar Eclipse. Rumor has it he sported a man bun and an animal print sarong often enough to earn the name bambam, a la Bambam Rubble, from the Flintstones.
Sara | Bee: Sara's easier. Her mom used to call her "Sara B.", short for her middle name, Brigham. A former logo was a Bee; her love of connecting people and buzzing about is pretty darn bee-like, and the Sara B. morphed to Sara Bee, and she's occasionally called "Bee" by a select few.
- We are blessed to have gathered a large network of friends who are important to us. A roughly even amount of relationships come from the Avalon community and friends and family from Nantucket. We have decided to have a casual engagement party at each location so no one feels an obligation to travel to the wedding if it is not convenient.
- We like to celebrate and are hoping to be able to connect with everyone over the course of the Summer of Celebration!
- We live on Nantucket, but we realize it can be exceedingly expensive to visit. If you live on island or want to visit, GREAT! We'll have a Saturday engagement beach day party!
