WEDDING SCHEDULE

If you'd like to help, come Thursday morning and stay as late as Monday!  It's beautiful at Avalon and it'll be fun setting up.  We just need to know when you are planning on arriving.

THURSDAY
Afternoon set up! 

There will be a small dinner, hosted by friends, for those coming early to help.  We need to know well in advance who will be early to help.  :)

FRIDAY
There is plenty of set up fun to be had!!!!

Morning & Afternoon set up options!

Dinner "Downtown" (the common area, where we will be hanging out). 

MASQUERADE THEME!  (Go light with just a mask, or for those who like, go deep.  We know who you are.) 

There will be stories, mingling, food, and music. 

In the event of a torrential rain storm forcast on Saturday, Friday is "Rain Date".

SATURDAY
MORNING

Breakfast will be served Downtown. 

Morning Set up! 

There is some set up fun to be had!!!!

LUNCH
We'll have some grab & go snacks/fruit/nuts... but bring what you like if you prefer a real meal. 

Hang out at the waterfall and see what all the relaxing fun is about. 

There's a great Disc Golf course on the property for an afternoon game!

WEDDING
Meet Downtown for a toast and a bit to kick off The Wedding Ceremony, late afternoon! 

We will process together to the Acoustic Chapel, and after the ceremony, gather in The Big Field for dinner, merriment, and music. 

BRING chairs to the Chapel beforehand... BRING your instruments to the Big Field before the event!  We have a LOT of musicians in this group of creatives. 

SUNDAY
Breakfast, Downtown!

It's Breakdown Day!  If you have any time, there will be a bunch of small projects to contribute to clean up!

TRAVEL PLANS

• We need to know when you are arriving ASAP!  ADD yourself to this Google Workspace Doc!
• Please add your arrival/departure dates so we can plan!  Someone will need to greet you. 
• We would like to know your 'housing' (ahem, word used lightly) plans so we can site your camper or tent in a choice location! 

 WEATHER

• Google tells me that in the past, temperatures are about 85 during the day, 65 at night. 

TO BRING

• An umbrella! 
• A flashlight!  (It gets dark in the land of no light pollution!)
• Bring a bathing suit!  It's fun to hang out at the Waterfall | River during the day. 
• Bug spray and hiking shoes/sneakers if you plan to hike (and why wouldn't you?  There are beautiful trails here), there's poison ivy and bugs.  It's South Carolina, y'all.
• SHOES.  For the wedding ceremony, we'll be processing on the path by the river, across the Big Field, up a path into the Acoustic Chapel, and hanging out in the Big Field.  Wear shoes that allow all of that!  Now's the time to pull out the footwear where Form meets Function!

TO LEAVE

• Pets.  We'd prefer no pets.  If you MUST bring your pet, please plan to have them leashed at all times, and have a safe place to leave them during the main events.
• High heels and fancy shoes.  Everything is outside & we will be walk over a couple rough paths.

PHYSICALLY CHALLENGED

• We have a camping location right near downtown for closest access.  Just let us know and we'll reserve you a spot! 
• We can transport you in a cart on the Procession!

CAMPING

• If you plan to CAMP.  Let us know how and when you're planning to sleep... Tent?  RV?  Camper?  We will do our best to place everyone in appropriate places... 
• There are NOT many water hook ups on the property. 
• There ARE some electric hookups and we will do our best to put Campers in appropriate places... (i.e., some of the homes have hookups).
• There IS a Bathhouse with private showers, private toilets, and electricity. 

WEDDING ATTIRE

• Wear a solid color!  (Or as Chip says, "Express one color!") Please, not white, 'cuz, you know. 
• There might be a chill in the air in the evening....

GOLF CARS

IT IS FUN to have a Golf Cart (especially if you have kids and want to go back and forth easily).  More flexibility.  More mobility.  They will deliver/pick up.  They go quickly.  Email [email protected] or call ASAP to reserve one.  A 4-person cart is < $400 for the weekend.
